Jackson Street’s Outreach Services provides to anyone between the ages of 10 and 24 who articulate some level of need. We serve runaway and truly homeless youth, who are typically living without a guardian and/or stable, consistent accommodations. We also work with street youth, who typically spend their time on the streets, but may have a stable home to which they return. We spend our time in places like city parks, libraries, skate parks, and in schools.

Our Outreach services are meant to serve as harm reduction and harm prevention to our communities. We work hard to help those currently struggling with homelessness, and to help others from falling into it. We do this through providing basic necessities, case management, referrals, and building their trust with adults and authorities. This trust can be built with anything: from a juice box and a pair of clean socks to connecting them with a job and a stable place to live. Our ultimate goal is to help youth achieve their full potential amidst a life of chaos and survival.

Outreach Services are conducted in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties. They are made up of teams of staff and volunteers who spend time during the week actively seeking out those in need
